Fast Power Density Assessment of 5G Mobile Handset Using Equivalent Currents Method

چکیده

As the fifth-generation (5G) mobile communication is utilizing millimeter-wave (mmWave) frequency bands, electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure emitted from a 5G mmWave handset should be evaluated and compliant with relevant EMF limits in terms of peak spatial-average incident power density (PD). In this work, fast PD assessment method for using equivalent current (EQC) proposed. The EQC utilizes intermediate-field (IF) data collected by spherical measurement system to reconstruct EQCs over reconstruction surface then computes close proximity acceptable accuracy. performance proposed mock-up equipped four quasi-Yagi antennas. assessed results are compared those computed full-wave simulations also measured planar near-field (NF) scanning system. addition, three influencing factors related accuracy method, namely, angular resolution, phase error, position IF measurements, analyzed. good candidate compliance testing range.

assessment of the efficiency of s.p.g.c refineries using network dea

data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...

Discrimination of Inrush from Fault Currents in Power Transformers Based on Equivalent Instantaneous Inductance Technique Coupled with Finite Element Method

The phenomenon of magnetizing inrush is a transient condition, which occurs primarily when a transformer is energized. The magnitude of inrush current may be as high as ten times or more times of transformer rated current that causes malfunction of protection system. So, for safe running of a transformer, it is necessary to distinguish inrush current from fault currents. In this paper, an equiv...

Fast Measurement of Radiation Efficiency of Mobile Handset Antennas

A simultaneous measurement method using parallel modulated probe array has been proposed to measure the electromagnetic radiation rapidly. Each modulated probe is excited by a local signal with individual frequency, so that the received IF signal contains different frequency components which indicate the relative magnitude of the RF signal at positions of the probes, and all the IF components a...

Hydrodynamics Analysis of Density Currents

Density Current is formed when a fluid with heavier density than the surrounding fluid flows down an inclined bed. These types of flows are common in nature and can be produced by; salinity, temperature inhomogeneities, or suspended particles of silt and clay. Driven by the density difference between inflow and clear water in reservoirs, density current plunges clear water and moves towards a d...

Mobile Handset Performance Evaluation Using Spherical Measurements

The mean effective gain (MEG) is an attractive performance measure of mobile handsets, since it incorporates both directional and polarization properties of the handset and environment. In this work the MEG is computed from measured spherical radiation patterns of five different mobile handsets, both in free space and including a human head & shoulder phantom. Different models of the environmen...
